The Cottages are set on Nutley Farm small-holding on Tadnol Heath Nature Reserve, near the quaint village of Winfrith Newburgh with it’s award winning traditional village shop. Tadnol Heath is an internationally important heathland and wetland is an iconic piece of Dorset landscape, divided by the Tadnoll Brook, a chalk stream tributary of the River Frome, and including part of Thomas Hardy's Egdon Heath. Home to a host of wildlife, including a number of rare heathland species

 

Monkey World

Enjoy a fun-filled, fascinating day out for all the family at Monkey World – Ape Rescue Centre in Wareham.

The 65-acre park is home to the stars of TV’s ‘Monkey Life’ and ‘Monkey Business’, and provides sanctuary for rescued and endangered primates from around the world.

Durdle Door 

Eroded by time and nature, Durdle Door is one of Dorset’s most photographed and iconic landmarks.

It is located on the Lulworth Estate in south Dorset and is part of the Jurassic Coast. The coastline is of such international geological importance that it was designated England’s first natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001 and is now part of a family of natural wonders including America’s Grand Canyon and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Lulworth Cove 

Formed by the combined forces of the sea and a river swollen by melting ice at the end of the last Ice Age. Lulworth Cove is world famous for its unique geology and landforms including the Lulworth Crumple and Stair Hole. 

Open every day, we welcome thousands of people each year who come to enjoy the panoramic views and crystal clear waters on this stretch of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. From rock-pooling and watersports, to walking, coasteering or just relaxing with an ice cream, this is a must-visit destination on the Dorset Coast.

Bovington Tank Museum

 Our exhibitions tell the story of armoured warfare from World War One to the present day. As you explore the Museum's six large halls you will come face to face with vehicles that have seen action in all the major wars of the 20th Century and hear first-hand accounts from those who fought in them.

This unique collection of over 300 vehicles is regarded as the best in the world and includes the world's first ever tank - Little Willie, the feared German Tiger tank and the modern Challenger 2.

Moretons Tea Room 

Moreton Tea Rooms is open 10am-5pm for lunches, cakes & cream teas and is situated in Moreton close to the grave of Lawrence of Arabia and to St Nicholas Church, famous for its Laurence Whistler engraved windows. In 2009 we won Taste of Dorset Best Tearoom.
